As we continue to grow and innovate in the financial sector, we are looking for a highly qualified professional to join our team as the Head of Risk Management.

Position Overview

The Head of Risk Management will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the risk management framework of Trustfund Pensions Limited. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops a risk management framework detailing the company’s approach to identifying, assessing, monitoring, and controlling market & counter-party risks.

Monitors and controls the level of risk exposure of the company by risk type, asset class instrument, industry, company, etc.

 Periodic review of the company’s risk management systems, including related policies, procedures, and risk limits.

 Ensures that all market & counter party risk management decisions by the Board are effectively implemented by relevant departments.

 Considers on a regular basis risk management report, indicating levels of compliance with policies, major control lapses and corrective actions.

Manage the development of tools and techniques for measuring market and counterparty risk.

Ensure internal risk limits are observed and define & communicate market & counterparty risk policies and controls?

 Prepares periodic reports to the RMC on compliance with risk limits, policies, and controls.

Any other functions that may be assigned by the MD/CEO from time to time.

Ensure effective and timely adherence to the provisions of the Pencom Reform Act (2014), Regulations, guidelines, circulars, regulatory correspondences, and requirements/request by other statutory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
• Master’s degree and Professional certification in risk management is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or related roles, preferably in the financial services sector.
